Release Date July 29, 2009 HyperBase v1.2 is HyperOffice's online database management solution. HyperBase allows your organization to collect information from your internal users and external customers. Information gathered from these sources can be easily organized, modified and viewed quickly from views. This release focuses on the datastores being organized independent of groups, role permissions instead of user permissions , web form 'code snippets' being created and miscellaneous bug fixes. Datastore Organization - previously datastores were associated with a group. In this release, datastores are independent of group association. Datastores are displayed under the Application List. To create a new datastore, right mouse click on 'Application List' and select 'Add'. Enter your application name and description, click 'Submit'. The description field is optional. To grant users access to the repository, select the 'Users' tab and select users from the Unassociated Users box, click the '>>' arrows to move them to Associated Users box and click 'Submit'. Roles & Permissions - previously the permissions were created for users and roles. In this release, we have simplified how permissions are granted. Each user is assigned to a role and permissions are granted to role. For example, the user, jscott, is assigned to the 'Everyone' role. This role has Access or No Access to a form. This allows the administrator to update permissions for a role instead of each individual user. Form 'Code Snippets' - this feature did not work properly before. In this release, administrators can create the web form for inclusion in a existing web page by clicking a button. Select the form and click on Edit from the toolbar. Select the 'Publish' tab and click 'Get Form' under the Code Snippet section. When the open/save window appears, select 'Save' and save locally to your computer. Copy this html to your web page destination. Miscellaneous Bug Fixes
